Choose a manageable set
The starter set contains major seconds and thirds, perfect fourths and fifths, and octaves. The chromatic set adds the other semitone distances through an octave. Choose ascending, descending or mixed direction before starting.
Every question uses two generated tones. Begin at a comfortable playback level, press Play and wait for the pair to finish. The answer buttons then become available. No microphone is involved.
Keep the first answer meaningful
After an answer, the game reveals the expected interval and your chosen interval. Replay the pair to connect the label with what you heard. The first answer remains in the initial score instead of being overwritten by a correct retry.
The breakdown reports answered and correct counts for each interval. A low count is limited evidence; a single mistake does not establish a stable weakness or musical ability level.
Retry the errors separately
Mistake practice selects missed interval types from the current initial run, prioritizing larger error rates. Its answers are counted as retries. This gives another listening opportunity without inflating the original score.
Save the practice record if you want to revisit the same challenge. The code, choice set and direction identify comparable generated material; changing any of them creates a different task.
